Dr. Newhouse joined the faculty with more than 20 years of experience in health care administration. In addition to his administrative role as Chair of the Department, he has taught a plethora of graduate and undergraduate courses including health care organization, health care administration, health care strategic planning and marketing, program planning in health education and promotion, managed care, and health care industry's business/organizational structures. His leadership and guidance have culminated in a strong, robust undergraduate program, a Nurse Anesthesia program in conjunction with Nazareth Hospital, and several graduate programs including Health Administration and Health Education.
Areas of research include:
Technology in human services education, health care issues/policies, health care leadership development, and competency management in health care organizations.
