Richard was in academia working for Cornell University and the University of Illinois. He then entered the pharmaceutical industry. He has worked for Smith Kline, Eastman Kodak, Sanofi, Wyeth, and Pfizer. He has had positions in sales, marketing research, new products marketing, strategic marketing, national accounts operations and strategy, R&D, and pricing.
Richard serves clients as a facilitator and thought partner for pricing issues related to healthcare and strategy development and execution. He is active as an educator, teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Richard received his B.S. in Chemistry from West Liberty State College, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from West Virginia University. He completed post-doctoral training in toxicology at Cornell University. Richard also did post-doctoral work at the University of Illinois. He also was a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois where he managed a cancer and nutrition research program. Richard has an MBA from the University of Illinois.
He has over ten years of experience of head of U.S Pricing in major pharmaceutical companies. Richard teaches Pricing in St. Joseph’s University Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing MBA Program for Executives and Marketing in the Mayes College of Healthcare and Business Policy MBA program at the University of the Sciences. He is also a guest lecturer in Biochemistry and Nutrition at Philadelphia Community College.
