How Effective Leaders Improve Emotional Intelligence
A sign of a good leader is the ability to keep a positive group dynamic. Leaders must learn to identify issues, assess situations and above all keep group emotions in check. Emotional intelligence (EI) is the ability to identify, assess, and control the emotions of oneself, of others, and of groups. Dr. Felice Tilin, Program Director of the Online Master’s in Organization Development and Leadership Program at Saint Joseph’s University, has worked extensively in the area of leadership development, with a strong focus on Emotional Intelligence. Her work led to involvement in the development of the Resonant Leadership for Results program.
