James Cummins

James currently serves as the Director of Technology for the School District of Jenkintown where he is responsible for all aspects of the district’s technology program. He is a founding partner of the web design and technology firm Coleraine Design, which he started with a fellow SJU graduate. James has been an affiliate faculty member in the Instructional Technology Specialist program at Saint Joseph’s University since 2004. He possesses over 18 years of educational experience as both a teacher and technology leader. James earned his MS in Instructional Technology from Saint Joseph’s University and a BSED from West Chester University. Courses taught include:

  • Applying Theories of Learning to Interactive Technologies
  • Technology Planning Across the Curriculum
  • Research in Instructional Technology, Networks and Multimedia Productions

His previous experience includes:

  • Instructional Technology Specialist, Network Administrator, Webmaster, Systems Manager and Social Studies Teacher at the Community Academy of Philadelphia
